Accessible: Whether you rent or own, all of our utility customers can subscribe to the garden on a per panel basis. You can decide to source some, or all of your electricity needs from solar energy.
Convenient: No need to install, operate or maintain your own rooftop solar system.
Community Action: Your participation helps to preserve stable utility rates and lessen our collective impact on the environment.
Any individual or organization who has a utility account with the towns of Antigonish, Berwick or Mahone Bay, is eligible to subscribe to the Community Solar Garden.
We will first help you understand the maximum number of panels you need to offset your entire electricity consumption. You can then select if you want your panels to power some or all of your energy needs. Once you are subscribed, you will see a credit on your electricity bill.
Utility customers will be able to subscribe in the Spring of 2023, upon completion of the Community Solar Garden. Contact us today and we’ll keep you updated on our launch.
Antigonish: On top of the Brierly Brook Landfill, 1637 Brierly Brook Road.
Berwick: At the end of Willow Avenue, along Highway 101.
Mahone Bay: At the wastewater treatment facility, 918 Main Street.
We will have more details about the cost of subscriptions in the Spring of 20223.
Please complete the "get updates from us" section, and we will send you subscription detail updates.
